Bigfoot Beverages Stops Recognition of the Teamsters Amid Strike

Teamsters to Amazon: ‘We are done asking nicely’

Teamsters at Detroit refinery win 3-month strike, secure new contract
Dec. 16, 2024 | Members of Teamsters Local 283 at Marathon Petroleum’s Detroit refinery have ratified a new contract, ending a 101-day strike. In September, Marathon Teamsters were forced to the picket line after their employer refused to negotiate in good faith. The new agreement includes a 24.5 percent wage increase over the life of the contract, health care coverage paid for solely by the employer, union security, and access to the Teamsters Central States Pension Fund. Amazon Teamsters authorize strike at two NYC warehouses
Dec. 16, 2024 | Amazon Teamsters at two New York City facilities—JFK8 and DBK4—have voted overwhelmingly to authorize strikes following Amazon’s illegal refusal to recognize their union and negotiate a contract addressing the company’s low wages and dangerous working conditions.
